Spiral bevel gear in our life has been a good application, it can be said that most of the mechanical equipment has its figure. If you want to maintain the performance of spiral bevel gears and reduce the failure rate, you need to pay more attention to the installation.

Generally speaking, when installing spiral bevel gears, the center lines of the two shafts should be adjusted to the same plane before the assembly of the following components can be started. Followed by the bevel gear contact surface coloring inspection. In this process, make sure that the shaft cannot move in series during the entire rotation process, and the contact surface should be close to the small gear head under no load. There is also a need to pay attention to the contact spot requirements of the meshing tooth surface, generally more than 70%. At the same time, the gear meshing clearance can also be adjusted by adjusting the thickness of the shim. It should be noted that the gap of the spiral bevel gear can neither be too large nor too small, otherwise it will have a great impact on our use.

If the gap is too large, it will cause greater impact and noise during gear transmission, reduce transmission efficiency, accelerate gear wear, and may even cause gear damage. If the gap is too small, the gear will heat up seriously during operation, increase friction, accelerate the wear of the gear, and may cause the gear to jam, affecting the normal operation of the equipment.

Therefore, when installing the spiral bevel gear, it must be operated strictly in accordance with the installation requirements to ensure that the center lines of the two shafts are on the same plane, accurately carry out coloring inspection, meet the requirements of contact spots, and reasonably adjust the gear meshing gap to ensure the spiral bevel The performance of the gear and the normal operation of the equipment.
